Description

There are many ways of being an activist. In this course, we will use sculpture as a way to stimulate a feeling, move us emotionally, or alter perception. We will start by using guided sketching and discussions to prime our creative pump. We will discover how art can provide an opportunity to disrupt people’s preconceived notions and create an opportunity for those to understand issues in a new and profound way.

Caring about the world is hard work. It’s easy to get burnt out. Artistic activism is a way to connect with the artist inside each of us in a safe, inclusive space with the result of re-energizing our lives while letting our voices be heard.

YOUR CLASS INCLUDES:

  • 12 hours of instruction
  • All materials & tools
  • Open Studio Time during the month
  • Lite snack & drink
  • One-on-one time with instructor

NOTE: To ensure that each student gets personalized, one-to-one attention from the instructor, we have limited this course to 5 seats only.
