Description
Learn the fundamentals of woodturning, tool basics and safety necessities. Prior experience in woodturning is not required. The class is designed for beginners who are interested in the woodturning journey. The class will include discussion of equipment, tool selection and sharpening, tool control and safety at the lathe. Create works of art make by you. You’ll go home with your choice of a bowl, a cocktail smoker, a mallet, or a rolling pin. Each project is designed to build and practice your woodturning skills. Designed for beginners, but those wanting to refine skills are welcome.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
NICK REALE
Nick Reale is a St. Petersburg wood artist who takes the living form of wood and turns it into beautiful, functional art. Each piece of wood used is both unique and local. All his material is sourced from local fallen trees or reclaimed “historic” woods from our community. Nick is a Florida CraftArt Gallery Artist, and his work has been sought after by fine art collectors across the world.
