Come create a unique sgraffito tile that represents your true self. The day will start with a guided mediation, creative writing and sketching to get your creativity focused and inspired. Then we will explore the mechanics of planning and designing your sgraffito tile to create balance and visual motion. Afterwards, you’ll prep your tile and discover techniques to reveal your design, making your one-of-a-kind creation come to life. You’ll explore how your personal use of pattern and narrative is uniquely nuanced through the use of a black and while color pallet. This class is a revealing way to explore self discovery through the use of the creative, visual medium of art and object .

TERESA MANDALA
Teresa Mandala is a St. Petersburg ceramist and a Creative Pinellas 2021 Emerging Artist recipient. Along with ceramics, she explores the use of multiple mediums to find unconventional ways to express complex concepts. Her themes are inspired by nature and personal experiences, in which struggles, triumphs and failures are translated into universal truths.
